a little bit about me
I started taking photographs when I was a child. To forever capture your "visual take" on the world is a most rewarding feeling - even if others don't hold the same regard for an image as you do. I've photographed many a strange looking twig, colourful washing line and mouldy rock, much to the bewilderment of my family and friends.
In 2004 I decided to pursue my passion further and studied HND Photography at the East Lancashire Institute of Higher Education (Blackburn College). I graduated in 2006, and a sample of the fruits of my labour are within this website. You will find a diverse range of images; some I just happened upon, some were studied in depth, others have been commissioned, and some were just pure luck.
My camera of choice is a Mamiya RZ67 using Fuji velvia transparency film, but looking through the images I have chosen to show here, I must admit that most of them are digital (Canon 350D, 20D and 5D). Perhaps I was one of the last to learn about film in depth.
We all have our own individual view of the world, and what you see within these web pages is part of mine -
I hope you enjoy!
